World Mental Health Day

Gentle moments for World Mental Health Day 2025 — a soft, poetic expression by TOMOKO

| October 10 is World Mental Health Day

Our hearts have their own rhythms —

some days full of energy,

others quietly asking to rest.

Both are precious,

both are part of being alive

Start by noticing

how you feel right now,

and gently staying close to yourself.

By feeling,

by staying with your heart,

healing softly begins.

Feeling stress isn’t bad.

Psychology reminds us

that a little stress can help us grow.

Even moments of sadness or heaviness

don’t make you “weak” —

they are part of being human.

What matters most

is not judging yourself for feeling it,

but listening kindly to your inner voice.

Lately,

I’ve been gathering small moments

that soften my heart.

・The warm glow of a café lamp ☕️

・Quiet eye contact
with the black cat I often meet 🐈‍⬛️

・Time with my notebook,
  lining up today’s thoughts ✒️

・A tiny Brussels sprout 🌱

・Willow leaves swaying in sunlight 🌿

・Stained glass glowing at dusk ⛪️

None are extraordinary,

but these little “likes” and “comforts”

warm the heart, just a bit.

You don’t need big changes.

By noticing small pieces of warmth,

your heart slowly heals and gently grows again.

Today, think of one thing you love —

something that brings you comfort.

That alone can light a soft glow inside you.

No need to be perfect —

just a minute,

at your own pace, is enough.

Reading this already counts

as a gentle moment.

Save this, so we can remember again — together.

🕊️ A Small Afterword

On days you move and days you rest—

go at your own pace 🤍

What I share here are small,

research-informed hints 🤍

Effects differ from person to person.

Stay within what feels gentle,

in your own time.

When your heart feels heavy,

choose what feels most fitting and safe for you.

— a quiet moment,

time in nature,

a gentle word to yourself,

and—if your heart leans that way—

time with someone you trust.

On low-energy days,

it’s okay to simply rest today.

A small step is enough —

stillness is a kind of care.

The time you spent reading this

is a gentle moment, too 🌿

I’m also slowly sharing pieces on YouTube—

your quiet support truly encourages me 🤍

If this post felt like a soft breath of calm,

I’d be happy if you save or share it on Instagram 🌿
